LawyerMate ("LawyerMate", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our web portal and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

  • Account Information: name, email, phone (optional), password or single‑sign‑on identifiers.
  • Usage Data: actions taken in the product such as judgement/law searches, AI assistant prompts, feature usage, and activity logs.
  • Case Data: files, notes, parties, schedules, and other matter information you upload to case management.
  • Payment & Subscription Data: plan, billing status, transaction identifiers, payer info shared by processors. We do not store card details.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device/browser type, approximate location, cookies and similar identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services (including search, AI assistance, and case management).
  • Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions and packages.
  • Respond to inquiries, provide support, and send service/transactional communications.
  • Analyze product performance and develop new features.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

3. Payments

Payments may be made via credit/debit card or JazzCash through third‑party processors. We do not collect or store full card details on our servers. Payment data is handled in accordance with the processors’ policies and applicable standards (e.g., PCI DSS) by those processors.

4. Sharing of Information

  • Service Providers: hosting, analytics, customer support, and similar vendors who process data under our instructions.
  • Payment Processors: to complete transactions and manage billing.
  • Legal/Compliance: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights, safety, and integrity.
  • Business Transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. AI Legal Assistant

Prompts and interactions with the AI assistant may be processed to generate responses and improve accuracy/safety. The AI assistant provides informational outputs and does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them.

6. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring). However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

7. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • Case data is retained according to your plan settings and your actions (e.g., deletion/archival).
  • Transaction records (excluding card numbers) may be retained for tax and accounting requirements.

8. Your Choices & Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete certain personal data via your account or by contacting us.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable by law.
  • Opt out of non‑essential communications.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling some cookies may impact functionality. A cookies banner is displayed on our site for your consent in compliance with applicable Pakistani regulations.
