These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of LawyerMate. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Accounts & Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activities under your account.
  • Provide accurate and complete information and update it as needed.

2. Subscriptions, Packages & Billing

  • We offer different packages with varying features and prices. Details are presented at checkout or plan pages.
  • Payments may be made via credit/debit card or JazzCash through third‑party processors. We do not store card details.
  • Plans renew according to the billing cycle you choose until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your account settings.
  • Taxes as per Pakistani law may apply and will be added where required.
  • Refunds: Unless required by Pakistani consumer protection law, fees are non‑refundable once the billing period starts.

3. Permitted Use & Acceptable Conduct

  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable professional and ethical obligations.
  • Do not misuse the Services, including by attempting to access data without authorization, interfering with the platform, or reverse engineering.
  • Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or confidential third‑party information without proper authorization.

4. Case Data & Confidentiality

You control the Case Data you upload. We process Case Data solely to provide the Services to you and as otherwise permitted by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate client confidentiality and permissions.

5. AI Legal Assistant – Important Disclaimers

  • The AI assistant provides automated, informational outputs based on inputs and available data. It is not a substitute for legal advice.
  • You must review and verify any AI‑generated content before relying on it in legal matters or court filings.
  • We make no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI outputs.

6. Intellectual Property

  • We and our licensors own all rights in the Services and underlying software, databases, and content, excluding your Case Data.
  • You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the Services for your internal professional purposes during your subscription.

7. Third‑Party Services

Certain features (e.g., payments, authentication, analytics, AI processing) may rely on third‑party services subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for those services.

8. Availability & Changes

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Termination

  • You may stop using the Services at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period unless otherwise stated.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, unlawful use, non‑payment, or risk to the platform.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Pakistani law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, LawyerMate will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts paid by you to LawyerMate in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LawyerMate and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of laws. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
